How does HubSpot's seats-and-credits pricing work?

Last updated October 6, 2026 · Prices verified October 1, 2026 · Next check November 1, 2026

New HubSpot customers in EMEA now buy one edition of HubSpot, Starter, Professional or Enterprise, instead of separate hubs. It's EMEA only for now. You pay per seat and for credits, with no platform fees. GTM Seats cost $90 a month on Professional and $175 on Enterprise. Each edition includes 5,000 to 15,000 credits a month, and emails and workflow actions now use credits too. Existing customers, and new customers outside EMEA, stay on legacy hub-based pricing.

Monthly list prices in USD, per user, from HubSpot's pricing page and the seats-and-credits supplement. HubSpot publishes the supplement in EUR; list prices are the same number in USD. The Starter promo is a limited-time offer for new customers: $7 paid annually or $10 paid monthly. On Enterprise, the pricing page shows $175 for both billing options.

Who seats-and-credits pricing applies to

For now, seats-and-credits pricing applies only to new customers in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), from 1 October 2026. If you already have HubSpot, or you're buying outside EMEA, including in the US, you're on legacy hub-based pricing, with platform fees, Core, Sales and Service Seats, and marketing contact tiers. HubSpot is rolling the model out gradually, and we'll update this page when it reaches other regions.

The two models price the same work differently. Compare them for your own team in the calculator's compare mode, or read how current and legacy pricing compare.

One edition, two seat types

There are no separate Marketing, Sales or Service Hubs on seats-and-credits pricing. You pick one edition for the whole account, and each person's seat decides what they can do.

  • GTM Seat. For people who work with customers: marketers, sales reps and service agents. It gives the full toolset of your edition, and it's the seat shown on HubSpot's pricing page.
  • Ops Seat. For people who support customer-facing teams: operations, RevOps and admins who build automation, reports and integrations. HubSpot hasn't published the price yet.
  • View-only users stay free.

A GTM Seat includes everything an Ops Seat can do. The split matters for anyone who builds rather than sells or supports:

What an Ops Seat includes
Ops Seat includesNeeds a GTM Seat
Custom reportingConnecting an email inbox
WorkflowsCalling
Data StudioMeeting links
Integrations and data syncSequences
SegmentsSending marketing email
Data AgentCreating quotes
Custom agentsPublishing content (blog, landing pages)
Permission sets and field-level permissionsPublishing goals and playbooks
CRM import and exportContent Agent
Read-only access to GTM toolsFeedback surveys
Running AEO prompts

In practice, an Ops Seat can't log emails or calls through a connected inbox or phone, run sequences or send marketing email. Someone who builds workflows and also emails customers needs a GTM Seat.

HubSpot's published supplement still uses earlier seat names (Core and Front Office) and older seat prices. We follow the live pricing page.

What uses credits

Credits now pay for more than AI. Every email HubSpot sends uses credits: marketing, transactional and automated emails, including meeting reminders and surveys (HubSpot's credits guide). Emails your team sends from a connected or hosted inbox, including sequences, don't. Every workflow action uses credits too; workflows need Professional or Enterprise. The per-unit rate drops as your monthly volume grows. These are the rates in HubSpot's rate sheet, at $0.01 per credit:

Credits reset monthly and don't roll over. Beta rates can change during the beta. More on how credits behave in HubSpot credits explained.

Packs and pay-as-you-go

Usage above your included credits is billed pay-as-you-go at $0.01 a credit, invoiced monthly in steps of 10. On your reset date, the limit goes back to your original amount instead of staying higher for the rest of the term. You can also buy packs for a fixed monthly price:

Capacity packs
PackCapacity a monthPrice a monthEditions

Agents (Base)2,500 credits$25All paid editions
Agents (Growth)40,000 credits$400All paid editions
Agents (Scaled)150,000 credits$1,500All paid editions

At list price, agents packs and credit capacity packs cost the same per credit as pay-as-you-go ($10 per 1,000 credits). They make the bill predictable rather than cheaper. Email and workflow packs are different: they cost less per unit than paying in credits once your volume fills them. Sends and actions above a pack use credits at the rate sheet. For scale: the Growth pack's 500,000 actions a month covers about 10 automated actions for each of 50,000 contacts.

Spend controls. When you buy credits, HubSpot initially sets your account credit limit up to 50% above your total monthly credits. You can lower it, and set limits for the whole account, per feature and per action. You get alerts at 75%, 85% and 90% of your limit, and any feature can be paused at any time. Credits from packs reset monthly like included credits.

Records replace marketing contacts

On seats-and-credits pricing you don't pay for marketing contacts separately. They count as records toward your edition's record capacity, along with companies, deals and every other object. Above capacity, Starter and Professional add 1,000 records for $5 a month; Enterprise adds 1,000,000 for $100.

Onboarding and add-ons

Onboarding is still required on Professional and Enterprise. HubSpot hasn't published the fees for seats-and-credits pricing yet. We expect them to be close to legacy onboarding fees, and a partner can still deliver onboarding built around your setup.

Marketing team of 5. 5 GTM Seats, 20,000 emails and 20,000 workflow actions a month. Estimated $2,000 a month: 5 GTM Seats $450, Email sends pack (10,000 sends) $1,000, Growth workflow actions pack $150, 40,000 extra credits $400. Open in the calculator

For marketing teams, email volume now matters as much as seat count. Estimate your monthly sends before you talk to HubSpot.

What to ask your HubSpot rep

  1. Will we be on seats-and-credits pricing or legacy hub-based pricing in our region?
  2. Which of our users need a GTM Seat, and which can use an Ops Seat or View-only?
  3. What does an Ops Seat cost on our edition?
  4. What is the onboarding fee for our edition on seats-and-credits pricing?
  5. Based on our email and workflow volume, which packs do you recommend, and why?
  6. What credit limits will be set on our account by default?

FAQ

No. Existing customers stay on legacy hub-based pricing. For now, seats-and-credits pricing applies only to new customers in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa); new customers elsewhere, including the US, still buy on hub-based pricing.

Not on seats-and-credits pricing. You buy one edition of HubSpot (Starter, Professional or Enterprise) for the whole account, and seats decide what each person can do. Mixed editions aren't supported.

A GTM Seat is for people who work with customers: marketers, sales reps and service agents. It gives the full toolset of your edition. It costs $90 a month on Professional paid annually and $175 on Enterprise.

HubSpot hasn't published the Ops Seat price yet. We'll add it when HubSpot does.

Ops Seats are for people who support customer-facing teams. They include workflows, custom reporting, Data Studio, integrations and data sync, segments, Data Agent, custom agents, permissions, CRM import and export, and read-only access to GTM tools. They don't include a connected inbox, calling, meeting links, sequences, marketing email, quotes or publishing content; those need a GTM Seat.

Yes. Marketing, transactional and automated emails, including meeting reminders and surveys, use credits. Emails your team sends from a connected or hosted inbox, including sequences, don't. The first 10,000 sends a month cost 15 credits each, and the rate drops as volume grows. Email sends packs start at $200 a month for 2,000 sends.

No. Marketing contacts count toward your record capacity: 25,000 records on Starter, 250,000 on Professional and 15,000,000 on Enterprise.

Extra usage is billed pay-as-you-go at $0.01 per credit, invoiced monthly. On your reset date your limit goes back to the original amount, so one busy month doesn't raise your bill for the rest of the contract.

Yes. Credit limits can be set for the whole account, per feature and per action. When you buy credits, HubSpot initially sets your account limit up to 50% above your monthly credits; you can lower it. You get alerts at 75%, 85% and 90% of your limit and can pause any feature at any time.
